Requirements

• Enrollment in a degree seeking program majoring in science or a related field is required; Chemistry major preferred (undergraduate or graduate studies)
• Strong academic performance
• Concurrent enrollment in a degree seeking program.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• A valid driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Chemistry Lab intern/co-op will work to provide analytical, research, process optimization, data analysis, and environmental support to various business units throughout Marathon Petroleum Corporation and its affiliates.
• The intern will support these activities through special project work, day-to-day laboratory and field activities, and exposure to a variety of analytical techniques and methodologies (i.e. gas chromatography, wet chemistry, x-ray, data analytics, etc.).
• The special project work may meet the student’s capstone requirement.
