About The Position
SHIFT: Thursday - Monday 7:00AM - 3:30PM Primarily responsible for hands-on maintenance of HVAC systems and related auxiliary equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years mechanical maintenance experience with absorption/freon A/C equipment and stream/related heating systems.
- Strong knowledge/skills in mechanical systems
- intermediate knowledge/skills in electrical and plumbing systems
- working knowledge/skills of refrigeration cycle, common parts, pneumatic/electric/electronic control systems
- basic knowledge/skills in brazing, soldering, insulation, measuring, carpentry and sheet metal
- basic knowledge of safety standards/regulation, current CFC regulation, physics and math
- ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and nameplates
- good communication skills
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- New York City Refrigeration Engineer's license and EPA-CFC Universal certification
Nice To Haves
- Associate's Degree
- Some college education in engineering and/or a completion certificate from a recognized trade school
- familiarity with PC
