About The Position

BC Systems, Inc is a distribution and cooling company of raw agricultural products. The maintenance team provides mechanical support for all facilities and equipment used in our operations. Responsible for maintenance of Vacuum Tube Cooling systems, refrigerated warehouse and process spaces, refrigerated production processes and all related refrigeration equipment (compressors, condensers, evaporators, valve sets, vessels, insulation repair, process controls, electrical troubleshooting). Performs standard repair and maintenance on all vacuum cooling processes, ammonia refrigeration, halocarbon refrigeration, and vacuum pumps at the facility. Position Functions Troubleshoots process controls to the PLC level as required. Ensures proper water treatment practices relative to the condensing tower. May serve as team lead on more complex projects or independently perform standard assignments either for a single area of the plant or across departments as needed. Must Uses computer based programs to support various activities. Ability to work outdoors through all seasons and weather types including wind and rain, indoors under refrigerated conditions to 32F, wet, dusty, and noisy conditions Possess ability to work standing, bending, or prone repeatedly throughout work shift Ability to walk on uneven surfaces throughout facility complex as required Ability to climb several stairs to access office or dock apron areas Ability to work in a fast paced often-stressful environment. Ability to work day, swing, or night shifts within a 7-day workweek schedule. Full time positions are expected to travel throughout the year with the companies operations in California and Arizona. Ability to immediately relocate to follow equipment when seasonally moved and assists in setup allowing only for travel time. Normal or corrected eyesight and hearing are required Ability to lift equipment weighing 65 pounds above shoulders, repeatedly throughout workday. Acknowledge all types of carton materials, products and colors used in labeling Literacy required, English required Practical understanding of system refrigeration equipment Practical understanding of vacuum cooling equipment and cooling process Practical experiences with portable equipment systems for tear down, transport, and setup. Practical experience of electrical equipment for 480v and control 110v systems Practical knowledge of all safety rules for proper equipment operation and use. Practical experience with equipment maintenance on a scheduled and reactive basis. Ability to maintain operation records.

  • RETA and CIRO Certified.
