About The Position

Responsible for overall regional development of data collection strategies and activities, analyzing, synthesizing, and sharing data with other funded prevention programs and community members. Creating written and oral reports and databases for the central data repository. Personnel responsibilities include participation with other Regional Alignment Coordinators in developing and implementing new data collection instruments, surveys, and data collection protocols. Work requires a basic concern for the quality of care, a concern for helping other, a belief in human potential for growth, and a willingness to coordinate and work cooperatively.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts and attends meetings with community stakeholders to raise awareness of substance use data needs and enhance data collection efforts within the region.
  • Helps Director set and obtain program goals and objectives to include active involvement in key management and leadership roles.
  • Ensures compliance with agency policies procedures and funding source regulations.
  • Promotes school participation in the Texas School Survey of Drug and Alcohol Use and university and college participation in the Texas college Survey of Substance Use.
  • Coordinates with Texas A&M Public Policy Research Institute.
  • Supports Local and Regional Data collection Strategies.
  • Documents collaborative efforts using HHSC-generated templates.
  • Establishes and maintains agreements with community stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains a Regional Epidemiological Workgroup (REW)
  • Conducts or participates in a minimum of four REW meetings and document as requested.
  • Ensures that written surveys and data collection tools are culturally appropriate.
  • Develops a Regional Needs Assessment (RNA) to provide community organizations and stakeholders.
  • Develops and facilitates at least one region-wide event during the current fiscal year based on RNA data findings.
  • Directs community stakeholders to resources regarding data collection strategies and evaluation activities.
  • Participates in the development of media messages and conducts regional surveys to determine the type of media activities that will be conducted to promote statewide messages as per SOW.
  • Attends key and general staff meetings; QA/QI meetings, represents the agency by speaking before public and private sector on drug abuse education, prevention.
  • Attends and represents the agency at meetings designated by the Program Director.
  • Submits monthly and quarterly reports, data collection plan, and midyear report for contract evaluation. As well as other reports that may be required by the SOW and Aliviane, Inc.
  • Maintains good work habits through timeliness and low absenteeism.
  • Punctual at all times; Takes initiative to identify and analyze problems; generates alternative solutions; Carries out all other assignments to meet the goals and objectives of Aliviane Inc.
  • Understands, accepts, implements and promotes Aliviane Inc. Mission Statement, program/department goals, philosophy and objectives; Serves as a role model for employees, clients, and community partners.
