About The Position

Agemark Senior Living is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to lead multiple communities across Northern California. This leader should ideally reside in Northern California, with preference given to candidates in or near Sacramento, Roseville, Davis, Woodland, Stockton, Modesto, Lodi, Manteca, or Tracy. Relocation to Northern California prior to the start date is required if not currently local. Candidates who have previously worked in California and understand the regulatory landscape are encouraged to apply. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing multiple senior living communities
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-site teams with strong financial outcomes
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management and expense realignment
  • Proactive leadership style with the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
  • A respected leader who drives results through collaboration and accountability
  • Knowledge of California state regulations and federal requirements, including OSHA and life safety standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Marketing, or related field
  • Willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, with 20% remote work depending on community needs
  • Availability after hours and on weekends as needed

  • RCFE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight to multiple senior living communities across Northern California
  • Drive financial performance, including budgeting, expense alignment, and margin improvement
  • Monitor occupancy, compliance, and operational standards to ensure consistent execution
  • Coach and develop Executive Directors and leadership teams
  • Identify concerns early and course correct before issues escalate
  • Maintain a culture of accountability, respect, and engagement
  • Support acquisitions, onboarding of new leaders, and serve as Interim Director when needed
  • Deliver timely and accurate operational reporting to senior leadership
  • Travel extensively throughout the region to provide hands-on leadership and support
