About The Position

The Regional Executive leads membership growth and retention for girls and adults within an assigned region. Partnering with Area Executives, this role develops and executes strategic membership plans, cultivates community partnerships, and ensures exceptional volunteer support. The Regional Executive uses market insights, networking, and sales expertise to expand Girl Scout membership while managing and coaching a high-performing field team.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience: 5–7 years of supervisory or team leadership experience, ideally in sales, membership, or community engagement.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Compliance: Must successfully complete a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

  • Membership Growth & Strategy Analyze demographics, membership trends, and school data to establish goals and refine strategies.
  • Partner with Area Executives to create and implement annual membership plans that drive growth and retention.
  • Coordinate major recruitment efforts, including fall recruitment events and spring girl/adult campaigns.
  • Identify and cultivate new market segments to expand outreach.
  • Ensure consistent use of Girl Scout branding and messaging in all recruitment activities.
  • Volunteer Engagement & Support Develop annual regional plans to maintain an active and engaged volunteer network.
  • Oversee volunteer recognition programs to foster appreciation and deepen engagement.
  • Support the full volunteer lifecycle: screening, placement, training, assessment, safety, and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate volunteer position descriptions and resources for accessibility.
  • Provide proactive guidance on volunteer concerns and conflict resolution.
  • Team Leadership Supervise, coach, and train Area Executives on recruitment strategies and performance goals.
  • Monitor and report membership and volunteer metrics weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Manage the regional team’s operating budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Lead by example and take initiative to address challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Council Support Cultivate community partnerships to increase visibility and strengthen relationships.
  • Uphold council and GSUSA standards and policies across all membership efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and utilize Volunteer Systems effectively.
  • Additional Responsibilities Work remotely as needed to complete assignments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support council objectives.
