About The Position

We are seeking a high-performing Regional Operations & Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee operational performance and mechanical execution across several regions. This role combines the structure and follow through of an operations leader with the technical oversight of a regional mechanic manager. The ideal candidate will oversee 8 regional managers, drive scheduling and audit excellence, strengthen communication across teams, and build accountability through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management. You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance across multiple bikeshare, kayak, and micro mobility markets, ensuring fleets are safe, reliable, and available for customers. Requirements

  • Preferred 3-5 years of proven experience managing staff
  • Strong organizational skills and a highly detail-oriented approach
  • Demonstrated ability to hold others accountable while maintaining strong working relationships
  • Confidence and skill in coaching, mentoring, and delivering performance feedback
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt quickly, and maintain accuracy in a fast-moving environment
  • Passion for biking, kayaking, micro mobility, and genuine appreciation for the beautiful outdoors
  • Ability to lift 75-100 lbs. comfortably and consistently
  • Ability to perform physical tasks required in an operational setting
  • Candidate must be willing and able to travel to Wichita for the required training period

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize schedules to support effective coverage and operational efficiency
  • Coordinate staffing needs and adjustments, ensuring minimal disruption to service and operations
  • Conduct routine audits to verify compliance with established processes, documentation, and operational standards
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement; recommend corrective actions and support implementation
  • Track audit outcomes and ensure follow-up actions are completed accurately and on time
  • Serve as a key communication hub between field teams, regional managers, and leadership
  • Deliver clear updates, timelines, and expectations to ensure consistent execution
  • Support the rollout of process improvements, scheduling, and operational changes
  • Mentor and coach regional managers within the region, strengthening leadership habits and performance outcomes
  • Lead effective, respectful coaching conversations that drive measurable improvement
  • Hold individuals accountable to expectations, deadlines, and standards aligned with company policies
  • Manage assigned staff, providing day-to-day direction, performance feedback, and support for development
  • Help reinforce a culture of ownership, professionalism, and continuous improvement
