About The Position

The Regional Professional Development Manager is an expert in literacy instruction who ensures the highest level of quality in training experiences across their Region. The primary focus of this role is to drive PD revenue by recruiting, onboarding, evaluating, and coaching regional PD Facilitators as well as reviewing and action planning in response to customer feedback, trainer self-evaluations, session planning forms, and creating custom sessions as needed. This position is also responsible for serving as a subject matter expert across Heggerty’s solutions and literacy instruction as a whole to support internal teams in Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Content Writing and Product Development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a classroom teacher and/or reading, literacy specialist. 3 years of experience in professional development, training, or adult education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and feedback to inform decision-making and improve training effectiveness.
  • Skilled presenter with experience delivering training sessions and facilitating workshops.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology and digital tools to enhance professional development delivery and engagement.

  • Advanced Degree preferred: Master’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, onboards, evaluates, and coaches PD Facilitators within their region.
  • Makes recommendations to utilize training members, both staff and contractors, to efficiently maximize the effectiveness of all resources.
  • Facilitates ongoing feedback loop with customers, internal business partners, and PD Facilitators to encourage constructive dialogue and reflection to support a continuous cycle of improvement on training effectiveness and identifying innovative methods to meet evolving training needs.
  • Supports the development and manages the execution of Professional Development (PD) operational policies and procedures to support and increase effective training practices.
  • Collaborates with the PD, Content, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing Directors to ensure "special teams" are prepared and successful in supporting long-term strategic account PD plans.
  • Gathers, analyzes, evaluates, action plans, and reports monthly on training surveys and PD pipeline planning.
  • Serves as subject matter expert across all of Heggerty’s Solutions to support internal professional development and product knowledge, RFP submissions, strategic sales presentations, conference presentation application submissions and delivery.
  • Continuously measures the effectiveness of professional development content and delivery through content reviews, observations, assessment of competencies and of trainers, through analysis of evaluations of sessions, customer feedback, trainer self-evaluations, and planning forms.
  • Partners with the Content Team on the creation of new PD sessions and PD products/solutions.
  • Manages internal and external relationships, monitors for and resolves issues before they become problems.
  • Takes on additional specialized responsibilities based on direction from the Director of Professional Development and the needs of the PD team and company.
