About The Position

The Regional Quality & Regulatory Manager (RQRM) provides clinical, operational, and regulatory leadership across assigned Concerto dialysis markets. This role reports to the Director of Quality and Regulatory Compliance and merges oversight of clinical quality outcomes and regulatory compliance to ensure all facilities deliver safe, effective, and fully compliant dialysis care. The RQRM ensures alignment between QAPI, survey readiness, and patient care initiative serving as a field-based leader who drives accountability, supports operational teams, and sustains a culture of excellence and compliance.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) – preferred, not required
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of dialysis experience with 2+ years in leadership, quality, or compliance roles.
  • Strong working knowledge of dialysis operations, CMS Conditions for Coverage, state regulations, and QAPI processes.
  • Proven ability to lead audits, survey responses, and corrective action planning.
  • Demonstrated success driving measurable improvement in quality and compliance outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and hold teams accountable to performance standards.

  • Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN/CDN) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leads regional quality initiatives to achieve and sustain excellence in adequacy (Kt/V), anemia management, vascular access, infection control, and patient safety.
  • Oversees data collection, interpretation, and reporting for all clinical metrics, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Directs Clinical Operations Nurses (CONs) in delivering bedside coaching, monitoring outcomes, and executing improvement plans.
  • Performs deep-dive reviews of outlier patients and develops targeted action plans for improvement.
  • Collaborates with physicians, RDOs, dietitians, and social workers to ensure interdisciplinary care coordination and effective plan-of-care execution.
  • Co-leads QAPI meetings with Directors of Operations, ensuring actionable review of outcomes, trends, and interventions.
  • Provides clinical education and performance feedback to field staff, promoting consistent application of Concerto’s quality standards.
  • Tracks progress of QAPI and clinical improvement projects, holding teams accountable for results.
  • Ensures full adherence to CMS Conditions for Coverage, state licensure requirements, and corporate standards.
  • Conducts regulatory audits, including reviews of patient records, QAPI documentation, infection control, water treatment, and staff competencies.
  • Leads survey readiness efforts across assigned markets—conducting mock surveys, staff preparation, and rapid response during active surveys.
  • Develops and oversees Plans of Correction (POCs), ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions sustained.
  • Partners with regulatory agencies, ESRD Networks, and state surveyors to maintain collaborative and transparent relationships.
  • Provides regulatory guidance and consultation to operational and facility leadership, reinforcing expectations and compliance culture.
  • Tracks, trends, and reports survey and audit findings to identify systemic issues and direct prevention strategies.
  • Educates staff and leadership on regulatory updates and best practices.
  • Works in close partnership with Regional Operations, Nursing Education, and Quality teams to integrate compliance and quality improvement into daily practice.
  • Serves as regional liaison between field operations and corporate Quality & Regulatory departments.
  • Leads and participates in interdisciplinary QAPI, survey, and performance improvement activities.
  • Provides regular reports to the Director of Quality & Regulatory Compliance and executive leadership.
  • Promotes accountability, transparency, and proactive communication across teams.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned; responsibilities are not limited to the above.
