About The Position

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB Responsible for the administration and efficient operation of managing full service branches within his or her assigned region, including operations, product sales, customer service, security and safety in accordance with the Bank’s objectives. Aid in developing new deposit business, provide a superior level of customer relations and promote the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation; achieve branch and regional sales goals through new business sales, referrals and retention of account relationships. Provide leadership, training and supervision of Banking Service Managers or other assigned personnel. The Regional Manager is accountable to work cross-functionally with other banking groups to maximize growth and profitability.   • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Take an active role in the creation and implementation of the goals of the region including establishing internal performance objectives for branches in the region.
  • Act as a member of a regional team (Regional President, Regional MM, Regional Marketing, Community Bank Presidents, etc.) to ensure customer needs are satisfied and relations are established.
  • Direct the sales and service initiative for the region including monitoring sales and service performance against plan to identify gaps issues and best practices; develop and implement action plans to close gaps and resolve issues.
  • Evaluate the needs of each respective market in order to maximize the bank's success in that community. This includes but not limited to facilities, personnel, operations, growth potential.
  • Liaison between the Home Office and the branches.
  • Collaborate with branches to assess both the competition and market opportunities on a regular basis in order to identify strengths, opportunities, weakness and threats.
  • Provide planning, leadership and direction to a team of employees in order to align branch activities with branch goals and objectives.
  • Promote and enhances the corporate culture and fosters the development and implementation of the Bank’s vision, policies and guidelines.
  • Create an environment that promotes customer service, aligning business with customer needs and building lasting relationships in order to achieve superior service levels.
  • Ensure region is adequately staffed with support of Human Resources, with qualified well-trained sales personnel.
  • Coaches, develops and inspires staff to maximize their potential.
  • Oversee performance improvement plans, reviews, promotion, salary recommendations and termination for employees in assigned region.
  • Active in Community events of branches which may include helping in the planning and execution of Community events.
  • Develop and maintain active relationships with business partners to identify and leverage sales opportunities.
  • Available to assist others in the bank on business calls by participating in their calls as needed.
  • Ensure compliance to the Bank’s policy, legal and government rules and regulation.
  • Aid the Regional President, Retail Operations Officer, Retail Product Officer, and Regional Marketing; and,
  • Oversee Regional Volunteer Point system.
