We are seeking a driven, technically minded Regional Sales Manager who will lead sales growth and dealer development for Franna’s pick‑and‑carry crane range across the United States and Canada. Franna® is a renowned Australian manufacturer and brand of pick and carry cranes that has been a trusted name in the industry for over 40 years, holding over 90% of the market. In Australia, the term "pick and carry" is synonymous with Franna, a testament to the brand’s reputation for quality, reliability, and innovation. As part of Terex, Franna began its North American expansion in 2023, with the launch of the AT24 US model, and followed by the newly introduced FR19 US and AT44 US. These models have been specifically designed to meet the demands of North American customers, combining Franna’s reliability with features tailored to the region’s needs, providing exceptional lifting capacity, efficient operation, and the versatility needed for demanding worksites across industrial, mining, construction, and infrastructure sectors. The role of the Regional Sales Manager you will hands on “hunter”, and you be responsible for all aspects of Franna sales activity across North America. This includes building the brand awareness, educating the market on the pick and carry concept, growing and developing the dealer network, and directly engaging with customers. The successful candidate will spearhead market development for a category that is new to North America requiring a combination of technical understanding, strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and the tenacity to introduce a new product type into an established heavy equipment landscape. You will have the tenacity and skill to take the Franna brand to the next level. To take on the exciting and challenging role you will need to be able to develop an annual sales plan, identify and target key customers, personally demonstrate the machine, respond to key technical questions, and comfortably discuss with potential buyers the advantages of owning a pick and carry cranes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, new business development, in heavy equipment, cranes or lifting solutions
  • Strong technical, sales and applications knowledge of similar equipment.
  • Track record in negotiation and sales closure in capital equipment sales or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commercially minded and innovative thinking
  • Results driven and the ability operate independently.
  • Able to travel abroad visiting manufacturing sites in India & Australia, as well as partners in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of a dealer network within the Lifting business is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive North American sales and marketing strategy.
  • Regularly review and refine the go‑to‑market model (direct, dealer, or hybrid).
  • Establish sales targets with leadership and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
  • Achieve sales order targets in line with business objectives.
  • Appoint, onboard, and support new & existing dealers throughout the region.
  • Develop and monitor annual business plans for each dealer, providing regular documented performance feedback.
  • Coach, develop, and train dealer teams to enhance product knowledge and sales capability.
  • Ensure all dealer accounts are contracted, compliant, and aligned to Terex standards.
  • Support dealer sales activities including customer visits, demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure dealers receive appropriate engineering, service, and technical support.
  • Identify, target, and secure strategic customers across sectors such as construction, contracting, and rental.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major accounts through direct sales activities.
  • Provide guidance to dealers and end users on product applications, services, warranties, and technical aspects.
  • Educate customers and dealers on product features, operational capabilities, and service support.
  • Gather and analyze market intelligence, competitor information, and regional trends to identify new opportunities.
