About The Position

The Advisors Asset Management Regional Vice President develops strategies and business plans to win new client relationships while retaining and growing existing relationships. This individual has responsibility for the assigned geographic territory and is accountable for new account openings, account retention, revenue growth and achievement of Firm objectives. Product concentration will be Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) and Open-end Mutual Funds. External Territory: Florida Panhandle, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas (must reside in territory)

  • In depth knowledge of Mutual Funds and Separately Managed Accounts
  • Demonstrated abilities in time management, including, managing multiple projects, and meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent communication and group presentation skills
  • Mathematical aptitude and skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and with individuals at remote locations
  • Proven experience working collaboratively, improving productivity, and implementing ideas
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point), Internet and contact management systems
  • 5- 9 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Required Certifications: FINRA Series 7 & 66

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with Internal Sales Consultant to maximize territory sales efforts and attain sales goals
  • Analyzes marketplace and develops target lists for potential client's in assigned region and prioritize according to potential
  • Partner with Internal Sales Consultant to build and manage relationships within territory, which includes, generation of leads, customer service and efficient follow up while fostering a positive image of AAM
  • Collaboration with other sales departments within various product areas to provide clients with product accessibility while allowing AAM to capitalize on all available sales opportunities
  • Develop and implement sales plan that aligns with division sales plan and allows for the meeting of goals and objectives of clients, territory, and Firm
  • Profile clients to obtain information that will assist the client in reaching stated objectives
  • Maintain heavy travel schedule within territory to conduct client meetings and presentations
  • Attend industry conferences and regional events to generate additional interest in AAM’s products
  • Maintain current knowledge of all markets and AAM analytics and market commentaries
  • Representing AAM and our products to advisors knowledgeably and effectively so that advisors can clearly identify the benefits of the products relative to its competitors
  • Provide exceptional customer service and financial services advice consistent with the client objectives
  • Enters and maintains data in contact management system to properly track all sales efforts, client contacts and any other necessary information
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
