About the Job: The Clinical Dietitian will provide nutritional care to patients in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation through medical record review, clinical assessment, diet education, communication with nursing, physician, and ancillary staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from an accredited program required. If hired after 1/1/2024: Master’s degree (in any field) from an accredited program required.
- Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) accredited dietetic internship required.
- Licensed in the State of New Hampshire as a Dietitian required within ninety (90) days of hire.
- Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required upon hire.
- A minimum of one-three years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian in a hospital or health care facility preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Prior chronic disease nutrition counseling preferred.
Responsibilities
- Completes nutrition screening within established timeframe and conducts the nutrition assessment when warranted.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of metabolism and nutrition in relation to specialized area of patient care.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of food chemistry and macro, micro-nutrient composition for successful alteration of dietary program in a highly specialized population.
- Participates as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide integrated, patient-focused care.
- Exhibits knowledge of food production and service systems in relation to safe, nutritious food products for patients.
- Maintain dietetic registration, New Hampshire state licensure and continuing education requirements.
