About The Position

Position Summary To provide quality clinical nutrition services and nutrition education to patients in the Valley Life Start: The Center for Weight and Wellness. To plan, conduct, and evaluate nutrition educational programs.

Requirements

Bachelor's or advanced degree in foods and nutrition from an accredited institution.
Minimum one year experience with Bariatric surgery patients
Minimum one year experience as a clinical dietitian in a hospital or other health care facility.
Registered Dietitian (active status) or registration eligible.
Group process skills.
Demonstrates effective interaction and communication (oral, writing, presenting) skills to communicate and interact with patients, and their families, physicians, hospital personnel, and other staff.
Ability to perform work accurately and pay attention to details.
Ability to function competently and maintain composure during stressful situations and changing work environment related to changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
Ability to work cooperatively with health-system, patients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members (i.e. physicians, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Lab, etc.).
Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities
Position may require rotating to other VMG locations from time to time when necessary.
