Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Medicine/Progressive Care Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. Our patient population on South 8 includes patients requiring general medicine or progressive level of care. We care for patients with complex medical needs and co-morbidities, including CHF, NSTEMI, chest pain, coronary artery disease, post-intervention sheath management, COPD, pneumonia or other cardio-respiratory problems, End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), peritoneal dialysis, liver failure, alcohol withdrawal and/or other intoxicants and much more! It’s a great place to learn a wide variety of diseases processes and broaden clinical assessment skills. Our unit has a high number of daily admissions, discharges and transfers. South 8 also houses the remote telemetry cock pit which is staffed by specially trained PCAs who learn cardiac rhythm interpretation. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including Transition to Regions Hospital Practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses.
