Registered Nurse – Correctional Health – Health Assessment (3PM–11PM, 25K Retention Bonus)
About The Position

The Nurse Clinician II (NCII) applies professional nursing standards specified in the Texas Nursing Practice Act and Correctional Health Nursing Service. The NCII independently and safely manages patients in the assigned clinical area, identifies when assistance is needed, and ensures proper resources are utilized. The NCII provides competent generalist care, supporting patient safety and quality outcomes within the correctional health setting.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
- Licensed to practice nursing in Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from a hospital-based American Heart Association (AHA) approved program
- Other certificates as required by unit/service
- Minimum 1 year full-time RN experience
- Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact)
- Writing / Composing (Correspondence / Reports)
- Mathematics
- Medical Terms
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred
- Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking)
- Bilingual Skills Preferred; able to accurately interpret and transmit clinical information in English, verbally and in writing
