Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) at Des Peres Square Surgery Center Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations. Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education, and competency verification. Other duties inclusive of: relieving OR RN, OR CST for breaks and lunch as needed. Assist with OR room turnovers and preparing OR rooms for cases. Other duties assigned by OR leadership Team. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing and accredited RNFA program.
- Active RN license in the state.
- Previous RNFA experience required
- ACLS Required
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Responsibilities
