Registered Nurse (RN) Gynecology

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231
Work hours: Full Time, 36 Hours, 7:00am – 7:00pm
Gynecology Department highlights:
· Dedicated Women’s Services GYN Unit
· Focused on delivering high quality care to primarily adult and geriatric female population
· Specially designed environment for patients recovering from Obstetrical and Gynecology procedures
· Also serves Antepartum patients less than 20 weeks gestation without OB complications

Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing or
• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred
• RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• One year of Mom/Baby experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
