As Lahey continues to grow, we are seeking experienced and highly qualified Registered Nurses to join our Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. About the Unit 16‑bed acute critical care unit Cares for patients with: Complex cardiac conditions Hemodynamic instability Cardiac arrest Respiratory failure Hepatic and renal failure Clinical Expertise Our ICU/CCU nurses are part of a highly specialized, collaborative team with expertise in: Advanced cardiac devices Mechanical ventilation and life‑support technologies Therapeutic hypothermia Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring Continuous renal replacement therapy (CVVH) Intra‑Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) Nurses skillfully manage and titrate multiple critical care drips and are vigilant in identifying subtle changes in patient condition. Team & Environment Close collaboration with Pulmonary Critical Care and Cardiology teaching services Evidence‑based, cutting‑edge treatments Strong interdisciplinary support in an academic medical center setting Technology & Scheduling EPIC electronic health record for documentation and medication administration Computerized self‑scheduling Every third weekend rotation

Requirements

  • BSN preferred
  • At least 1 year of previous of Nursing experience in acute care or sub-acute setting required
  • Critical Care and Telemetry experience preferred
  • Current Massachusetts registered Nurse license required.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification with American Heart Association preferred
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
  • Lifting 75 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
