About The Position

A healthcare facility in Bronx, New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) . The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in a fast-paced ICU environment while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care / ICU experience
• At least 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU.
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and response to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care interventions as prescribed.
• Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures as required.
• Assist physicians during procedures and patient care activities.
• Manage and monitor patients receiving conscious sedation .
• Respond to emergency situations and provide rapid clinical intervention.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records .
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
