We are an 18 bed ICU currently encompassing the 2nd floor of the East tower at Sanford Health Broadway Hospital in the heart of downtown Fargo. While we have a focus in Oncology, you find that we see a variety of medical and surgical ICU patients. We care for complex surgical cases that require ICU care as well as kidney transplants and bone marrow transplants. As an Academic Teaching Facility, you can expect that you will receive education and experience with all these types of patients as well as your typical Medical ICU patients. We offer Clinical Lanes for our nurses with pay increases after each lane is completed. There are a number of professional development opportunities for education, serving on committees and training to be a preceptor or rapid response nurse. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients.
