As a part of our award winning team, you will provide care for your baby, carefully watch for any changes, give medicines, and partner with other NICU team members to work together with parents to create a plan of care for your high-risk newborn. Joining the UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s NICU team comes with many benefits, including a sign-on bonus of $8,000 for experienced RN’s with at least 1 year of NICU experience. All sign on bonus amounts are subject applicable taxes What's Your Schedule: Full time: Day/Night rotation Alternating weekend/holidays Some call shifts will be required Straight Night shift or part time opportunities may be available for experienced NICU RNs only that have at least 1 year of recent NICU experience What's Your Next Step: A limited number of positions are available, so apply today! Requirements
- (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, RN Diploma, ADN, or MN required
- 1 year of inpatient RN experience required. NICU or Newborn experience preferred.
- New Grad RN's outside of UH Rainbow Babies and Children's and the UH MacDonald Women's Hospital, are not being considered at this time.
- Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
- Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
- Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
