About The Position

The Registered Nurse is part of a team concept in the clinic setting with the goal of providing primary and specialty care with an emphasis on disease prevention and health maintenance. The RN is responsible for assessing, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the care of clinic patients. Registered Nurses should have a caring, sympathetic nature and the ability to relate to the public regardless of ethnic, religious or economic status. They also should have keen observational, decision making, and communication skills. What You'll Do: Assessing patients according to the specific clinic specialty standards. Nursing intake to include taking vital signs, rooming patients, and assisting the physicians with in office procedures. Responsible for managing patient flow in the clinic and preparing the patient to be seen by the provider, anticipates potential problems and adapts to clinic changes. Aware of patient treatment needs and able to correlate physicians' orders to diagnosis. Demonstrates knowledge of the medication's actions, contraindications, and side effects before administering the medication. Documents patient care on clinical records. Safely performs and documents procedures, specific to the Clinic, and consistent with hospital and clinic policies.

Requirements

  • State of California Registered Nurse License required.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Associates degree required
  • Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinic nursing experience preferred.
  • bachelor's degree preferred.
