About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient triage and education, assisting physicians during office hours and follow-up on prescriptions, procedures and tests. Maintain chart documentation to ensure all information about visit is completed and documented correctly.

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma/GED and completion of an accredited nursing program
• Certification : Current State RN nursing license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Experience: Must have a minimum of two years of clinical experience working in a physician office

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the mission, purpose, philosophy, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
• Maintains compliance with the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan, Privacy Standards, and Corporate Code of Conduct.
• Assists in assessing patient needs by recording vital signs, history, medications, and chief complaints for physician review.
• Performs diagnostic tests and prepares equipment for medical treatments, exams, and procedures as directed.
• Collects and prepares lab specimens for transport, including completion of necessary forms and computer entry.
• Administers prescribed oral medications and provides intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
• Triages patients to identify emergencies, providing immediate support and notifying providers of urgent medical needs.
• Facilitates patient education, teaching, and the development of care protocols and instructional materials.
• Compiles and analyzes medical and operational data to prepare reports for outcomes and program efficacy.
• Ensures accurate data entry into Electronic Health Records and reviews treatment forms to maximize reimbursement.
