About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Radiation Oncology Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL Full Time Days Where You Will Work: As part of our Ambulatory Oncology Team you will be essential to maintaining the continuity of care and to support the needs of 2.0 Physicians, ensuring timely access to all Radiation Oncology treatments and visits.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

Rooming patients, assessment of vitals, Distress survey review and review of symptoms
Providing patient education and support
Managing triage calls and In Basket messages
In person triage of on treatment patients
Plan of care development and ongoing assessment of outcomes
Walk in assessment triage
Providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
