About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry 3 Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location \: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours\: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7\:00 am – 7\:00 pm Department highlights: 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry, Nurse\: Patient ratio 1\:4 Our Unit provides intermediate /telemetry level of care for CABG, MVR, TAVR, heart-failure, post-operative interventional cardiac care (Stents, Angioplasty, Cardiac Catheter) patients. 833-bed MAGNET facility Level I Trauma Center Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

Requirements

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – within 90 days of hire required – expiration date greater than 3 months preferred
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• Tele or Med/Surg experience preferred
• demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
• possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
• have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred
• Tele or Med/Surg experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
• Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
• Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).
