About The Position

Overview Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving 400,000 people living in central, western and Midcoastal Maine. CMH's hospital facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital. Responsibilities Central Maine Healthcare is looking for a dynamic Nurse Educator to add to our Maternity team at Central Maine Medical Center! Serves as a practitioner, educator, consultant, and evidence-based practice leader. Responsible for needs assessment, design and development, delivery and evaluation of in-service programs, orientation and continuing education for nurses, students, and other staff in specified clinical areas. Develops educational policies and procedures; serves as a resource person to staff and management; participates in quality and performance improvement activities; and serves on special committees as needed. Functions with the guidance of the leadership team as an integrated member of CMHC. Requirements

  • Current State of Maine Registered Nurse license
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant acute care experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider ACLS, PALS, and BLS Certification required

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years clinical educator experience preferred
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Instructor status certifications preferred.
