Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - Educator, Operating Room (OR) for a 13-week travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. Assignment: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM,12; 12hr Days 48hgr gt Start Date: 3/30/2026 Contract: 13 weeks - Tuesday start dates! Location: Pittsfield, MA Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend/Holiday rotation required Traveler Policy: WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY TRAVELER WHO RESIDES WITHIN 50 MILES OF FACILITY. To avoid processing delays, please include the permanent address at profile upload. COVID Requirement: COVID VACCINATION (dose date on or after 10/3/23) NOW REQUIRED FOR THIS HEALTH SYSTEM. To avoid delays in processing, please include a traveler covid vaccination card/or intent to fill out the exemption form with profile submission. 8hrs non-billable orientation THIS NEED IS FOR AN RN EDUCATOR IN FAMILY BIRTHPLACE UNIT, FOCUSING ON EDUCATING OPERATING ROOM CIRCULATION FOR C-SECTIONS. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE VERY HIGH PROFICIENCY IN L&D OR CIRCULATE AND C-SECTIONS! "Straight L&D RN's will not be considered for this need." AT LEAST TWO SPECIFIC INTERVIEW DATES/TIMES OF AVAILABILITY FOR INTERVIEW MUST BE ADDED TO PROFILE - PROFILES WILL NOT BE PRESENTED WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION. "ANYTIME" WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ACLS, NRP, and BLS MUST BE IN HAND AND INCLUDED IN PROFILE UPLOAD. FACILITY WILL NOT PEND UPON OFFER. This is non-negotiable Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! Requirements

  • 3+ years of current RN Educator Experience in the Perinatal Field is required
  • Experience in educating the Circulating in the OR for C-Sections is required
  • "Straight L&D RN's will not be considered."
  • Meditech Expanse experience [strongly preferred]
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing/BSN (or higher degree) is required
  • Active American Heart Association BLS is required
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS is required
  • Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification is required
  • Perm address must be included with the profile
  • Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent patient care by assisting in collaboration, development, implementation, revision, and reporting of the case management program.
  • Acts as a liaison between the patient, family, nurse, physicians, multidisciplinary team, and the patient's healthcare benefactor to optimize outcomes.
  • Serves as a consultant to the healthcare team on specific patient items.
  • Leads the coordination of patient care with other disciplines within the care team, monitoring the appropriateness and timeliness of care.
  • Ensures the interdisciplinary care plan aligns with the patient’s clinical course, ongoing care needs, and covered services by monitoring diagnostic testing, treatments, procedures, and other aspects of care, as appropriate for acute care.
  • Discusses with physicians the appropriateness of resource utilization, consultations, treatment plan, estimated length of stay, and discharge plan.
  • Focuses on complex patients, frequent emergency department utilizers, chronic pain and substance abuse patients, and homeless patients.
  • Collaborates with acute care case managers to ensure appropriateness of ongoing care.
  • Coordinates the transfer of patients to tertiary centers, including the transfer of patient information required for continuity of ongoing treatment and services.
  • Provides oversight and collects data required for regulatory/accreditation compliance.
  • Manages frequent emergency department visitors by conducting a focus study review of the previous and current admissions.
