Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department - Casual Hours (75246)
About The Position
The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients. The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, hospital employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The RN must be able to supervise patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgement. Come join our Emergency and Intensive Care Unit departments! We are seeking caring, motivated individuals to join our team! Shifts Casual (less than 32 hours biweekly, Day/Night shifts, required to pick up 24 hours per 6 week schedule
Requirements
- Graduate of a school of nursing with current licensure in Minnesota
- Completion of Basic Cardiology class
- Minimum of one year medical/surgical experience
- Current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months
Nice To Haves
- ACLS Certification preferred or willingness to obtain ACLS certification within one year
- PALS Certification preferred or willingness to obtain PALS certification within one year
- TNCC Certification preferred or to be obtained within one year from hire date
