About The Position

Nurse Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) Status/FTE: Per-Diem / 0.2 FTE Shift length: 12 hours Start Time: 0700 Unit: Adult Float Pool (ICU/PCU, Med/Surg, Extended stay, ED, Rehab) Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Minimum of 12 shifts per 12 weeks or 3-month evaluation period. Including Two (2) weekend shifts (may be non-consecutive) per three (3) month evaluation period. Also, two (2) holidays per year to include one (1) winter and one (1) summer holiday. Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care of patients from admission to department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines. Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • 3-5 years RN experience in one of the Adult Float Pool units
  • Minimum of 12 shifts per 12 weeks or 3-month evaluation period.
  • Including Two (2) weekend shifts (may be non-consecutive) per three (3) month evaluation period.
  • Also, two (2) holidays per year to include one (1) winter and one (1) summer holiday.
