Centerpoint Health-Winchester is a 79 bed community hospital featuring updated technology including new and expanded services such as Diagnostic Services, larger capacity Emergency Services, home-like Labor and Delivery Suites, and a skilled nursing facility. The campus also includes a 45,000 square foot Medical Plaza housing the Clark Clinic, Diagnostic Center for Women, Center for Rehabilitation, Specialty Clinic and Anticoagulation Clinic. A jack of all trades, our Float RNs work within all acute care units of the hospital. Float RN’s ensure units are running smoothly. Our Float RN team provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing, required
  • Current RN to practice in the state of KY
  • 2 years of critical care experience
  • Certifications: BCLS; ACLS & PALS per unit specific requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Performs or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels.
