Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines using critical thinking and professional judgment.
- Collects and analyzes relevant patient data to determine diagnosis and care issues, developing and implementing care plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide safe and effective patient care.
- Participates in discharge planning and provides educational opportunities for patients and family members.
- Delegates tasks appropriately to healthcare team members.
