About The Position

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a night shift travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced intensive care environment while providing high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience
• Active RN License in the state of New York.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification
• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
• Must pass a hospital-proctored rhythm identification exam with: ≥ 80% accuracy in rhythm identification 100% accuracy in identifying critical rhythms
• Experience with Epic electronic charting system
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the facility’s electronic medical record system.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
• Float to other units within the nurse’s skill set as needed at management discretion.
