About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology (IR) for a 13-week travel assignment in Gastonia, NC. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology and imaging procedures. This role requires a nurse who is comfortable working in a fast-paced procedural environment and experienced in patient monitoring, sedation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or Compact State).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, Radiology Nursing, or Critical Care.
  • Experience monitoring patients during imaging procedures or procedural sedation.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure nursing care for patients undergoing radiology and imaging services.
  • Monitor patients during interventional radiology and imaging procedures including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and related modalities.
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient status before, during, and after procedures.
  • Administer medications and IV sedation while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide care primarily for adult patients and support pediatric MRI procedures requiring anesthesia when needed.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and assist with urgent or emergency imaging procedures.
