About The Position

NICU Lactation Consultant (RN) Status/FTE: TPD / 0.001 FTE Shift length: 8 hours Start Time: 0800 Unit: NICU Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Monday-Friday 8-hour shifts The Lactation Consultant is responsible for inpatient and outpatient needs for the lactating patient. Will be responsible for interview, assessment, and interventions to include education and training with patients. Will be available for consultations with Staff, Medical Staff, and patients concerning drug or other substances and their compatibility with breast feeding. Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • IBCLC required
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years’ experience in NICU
