About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg / Telemetry Registered Nurse to join a dynamic patient care team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills in telemetry monitoring and experience caring for orthopedic and bariatric patient populations in an acute care setting.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience
• Active RN license in the state of South Carolina.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Minimum 1 year of Epic charting experience

Nice To Haves

• Experience with orthopedic and bariatric patient populations
• Experience using Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• First-time travelers may be considered with at least 3 years of specialty experience

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med Surg and Telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Float to other units or affiliated facilities as needed within competency.
