About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Orthopedic/Trauma) provides direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. This role requires strong experience in orthopedic and trauma surgical nursing, ensuring high-quality care for post-operative and medically complex patients.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Medical-Surgical experience in a similar-sized facility
• Strong orthopedic and trauma surgical experience required
• Post-operative orthopedic and trauma care
• Patient assessment and critical thinking
• Medication administration and pain management
• Effective communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients with orthopedic and trauma conditions
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Support post-operative care and recovery
• Manage orthopedic and trauma surgical cases
• Perform wound care, pain management, and mobility support
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Follow hospital protocols and regulatory standards
• Ensure patient safety and quality care practices
