Registered Nurse (RN) - Waukesha Memorial Hospital NICU - PRN / As Needed
About The Position
ProHealth Waukesha Memorial Hospital's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a 22-bed facility providing specialized care for critically ill and premature infants born as early as 22 weeks gestation. The NICU recently unveiled a comprehensive renovation emphasizing family-centered care, featuring fully equipped private rooms designed to accommodate families, including those with twins and triplets. The unit is staffed 24/7 by a dedicated team of neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, and support staff, offering services such as transport, lactation consultation, and post-discharge follow-up clinics. Hours: This PRN/as needed position commits to at least 40 hours of availability per six-week schedule. Candidate is able to work all shifts per unit need. Minimal holiday requirements. This is not a seasonal or temporary position. FTE: 0.01 What You Will Do: A Registered Nurse in the NICU will provide extraordinary quality care to the neonate population that experience, or are at risk for development of life threatening illness.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or ability to obtain upon hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Previous NICU experience in level III NICU required at this time.
