Registered Nurse (RN) - IV Infusion cross campus BH and AGH, 8hour shifts Job Description: Job Description This position is cross campus to Beverly Hospital and Addison Gilbert Hospital Gloucester, 8 hour shifts! Position Summary: This role operates within a multidisciplinary team to provide direct patient care for patients in need of active treatment at our ambulatory clinic. -Supports ambulatory adult hematology/oncology, and medical day care populations -Placement and maintenance of PIV and Centrally Implanted Venous Access Devices -Maintains continuity of treatment based care from laboratory draws/monitoring, symptom management, to administration of chemotherapy and biotherapies -Provides IV supportive care including therapeutic phlebotomies, blood products and IV fluids -Ongoing patient and family education and reinforcement
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- Superior assessment skills, competent in peripheral IV placement and care; central line access and maintenance.
- Current Massachusetts RN license required.
- BLS required.
Nice To Haves
- OCN/ONS preferred (must obtain within one year of employment if not certified)
