About The Position

RightCare Clinic Registered Nurse (Per Diem RN) will deliver high quality care as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team in an outpatient office setting. Variable day and evening hours with some weekend commitments.

Requirements

  • Customer service skills and patient satisfaction
  • Clinical scheduling
  • Training, management, and development of staff
  • Clinic operation management including OSHA Guidelines and CLIA Regulations
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 5 years direct clinical experience in an acute care setting (Emergency Department strongly preferred)
  • 2 years of demonstrated informal or formal operational or leadership experience (e.g. Emergency Department Charge Nurse, Nurse Supervisor, Nurse Manager, Practice Manager)
  • ACLS - Basic Life Support Required
  • PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support-Within 2 months of hire
  • RN - Registered Nurse License in the State of Michigan Required

Nice To Haves

  • Board Certification in Emergency Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and nursing professional practice in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team and in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Obtains and analyzes assessment data to identify issues and communicates findings with the physician or Advanced Practice Provider as appropriate.
  • Assesses patient needs, evaluates patient responses to treatments provided and applies prudent nursing judgment in patient management decisions.
  • Provides direct, continuous care for patients through application of the nursing process as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the State of Michigan.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning.
  • Directs/delegates patient care activities appropriately to other members of the health care team.
  • Assures clinical documentation is complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Utilizes effective verbal, electronic and written communication to disseminate pertinent information to the patient, family and clinical team.
  • Coordinates disposition planning, including discharge, transfer and referrals to support effective patient transitions.
  • Utilizes effective teaching methods to support patient education.
  • Actively engages in ongoing professional development to ensure competence related to nursing practice.
