POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for delivery of quality patient care that promotes safety and well-being of patients. Works with teammates and leadership in the design, development and provision of services and programs to nurture support of the organization's patient focus approach. Primarily responsible for direct patient care in the Pre/Post and Inpatient Stress Lab, including resource management, and adherence to regulatory and accrediting bodies, federal and state regulations. Participates in direct procedural care as needed. Collaborates with Director and/or Pre/Post Lead to support any service line when patients are placed and/or tested within scope of responsibilities. Receives direction from: COO, Senior Director of Operations, Cath Lab Director, Cath Lab Medical Director and Administration.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program, required
  • Minimum of 3 years continuous direct patient care
  • Telemetry experience
  • Successful completion of a 12 Lead EKG course
  • Current licensure as an RN in the state of Montana
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • Knowledge of pre-op/PACU standards of care.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the organization.
  • Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications, software and desktop PC's.
  • Know how to open, read and respond to email.
  • Know how to manage electronic files.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and collaborative skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, be accurate and handle constantly changing situations.
  • Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to manipulate various types of electronic and clinical equipment, adjust and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, IV infusions, and computer equipment.
  • Ability to operate specialty equipment related to area of expertise and to perform computer tasks at a "user" level.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift.
