The 40,000 sq. ft surgery center includes 5 fully equipped operating rooms, 5 procedure rooms, and overnight capabilities. We are currently hiring a RN Specialty Coordinator to support the Pre-Op, Post-Op, and PACU. Schedule: Monday-Friday; day shift. Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a care service line for a high-acuity patient population within the department
  • Conduct extensive assessments and exercise clinical judgment on physiological health care
  • Monitor patient status and develop appropriate care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
  • Serve as a clinical expert and strong unit leader, supporting unit and system leadership activities
  • Apply advanced clinical knowledge of the specialty; required to scrub and/or circulate
  • Develop a core curriculum for the service line in partnership with the clinical educator and system education team
  • Oversee orientation for new staff and ongoing staff education and program evaluation within the service line
  • Act as a role model, resource person, and member of the management team
  • Ensure all activities align with the organization’s Mission and Vision
