Requirements: Local applicants only Minimum 3 years of acute care experience At least 1 year of recent experience in one of the following specialties: PCU , ICU, Telemetry. Specialty RN positions will require additional credentialing Active RN License Job Duties – Per Diem Registered Nurse Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in fast-paced acute care environments Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in status Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols Operate and monitor specialized equipment appropriate to unit assignment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators, hemodynamic devices) Collaborate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams Perform advanced nursing skills consistent with ICU, PCU, ED, or Cath Lab standards Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control guidelines Provide patient and family education as appropriate Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism when floating or adapting to various clinical settings Why Nurses Choose First Choice Nurses High pay per diem opportunities Work as little as one shift per month or as much as you like Total schedule flexibility — you choose when and where you work Supportive staffing team and streamlined scheduling We are a trusted local organization with more than 15 years in business FIRST CHOICE NURSES OF EASTERN VIRGINIA is an EEO employer.
