About The Position

The Registered Nurse at First OC Dermatology is highly skilled in administrative duties, staff trainings at a practice level and has strong leadership skills. The RN is responsible for providing training, support, back up and mentoring to Office Managers and staff.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License: Must possess an active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of California.
  • Dermatology Experience: Previous experience in a dermatology practice or healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise a team effectively, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance and outcomes.
  • Training and Education: Experience developing and delivering training programs, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of individuals, including physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation and adherence to protocols.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare-related software.

Nice To Haves

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Bilingual Vietnamese or Spanish skills are preferred but not required.
  • A willingness to work with diverse populations and provide culturally competent care is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Training and Education: Conduct comprehensive training programs for the Office Managers to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the dermatology practice.
  • Oversight and Support: Provide ongoing supervision and support to the Office Managers, offering guidance on clinical and administrative matters, ensuring compliance with policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance standards, reviewing and assessing office operations to identify areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance efficiency, patient care, and overall satisfaction.
  • Patient Care Collaboration: Collaborate with the dermatologists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care, promote effective communication, and facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
  • Staff Development: Foster a positive work environment by promoting staff development, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying opportunities for continuing education and professional growth.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure accurate documentation of patient care, procedures, and medical records, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Patient Education: Provide patients with educational materials and resources related to dermatological conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Adherence to Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
