Registered Nurse – Neuro Specialty Unit (Days)
About The Position
Heartline Staffing, strategic talent partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Neuro Specialty Unit providing step-down level care. This unit specializes in the care of patients with non-traumatic neurological conditions including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, seizure disorders, brain tumors, neuromuscular conditions, and patients monitored in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. In this role, the RN provides comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care through assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes across varying levels of neurological acuity. Schedule: Day/Evening shifts Every other weekend Rotating holidays Compensation: Hourly pay begins at $33.52 and varies based on experience. Sign-on bonus available for experienced candidates.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing or approved program eligible for Virginia RN licensure
- Active Virginia RN license or eligible multistate compact RN license
- CPR required
- ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as required by unit
- Experience or interest in neurological step-down patient care
- Strong assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EPIC)
- Ability to meet orientation and competency requirements
