Emplify Health by Gundersen is currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Outpatient Surgery Center team in beautiful La Crosse, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity to provide hands-on pre-op and post-op care during daytime hours, while working in a collaborative and patient-centered environment. Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in Wisconsin
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS certification for healthcare providers
- ACLS and PALS certifications (required after hire)
- Experience in acute care with intermediate care patients preferred
Responsibilities
- Care for a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Provide pre-op and post-op care for a wide range of surgical specialties including: Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Hand, Urology, Podiatry, GYN, Dental, Pain Services, Cardioversions, Lumbar Punctures, and Bone Marrow Biopsies
- Perform IV starts, medication administration, and have the opportunity to administer conscious sedation
- Deliver patient education and discharge instructions
