About The Position

Description 60% FTE, Monday – Friday with rotating start times between 5:30am – 10:30am. Weekend call requirement. You will be working at University Hospital in Madison, WI. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Be an integral part of a surgical team that performs multispecialty procedures. Assume the overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which you are assigned. Have the opportunity to circulate, as well as scrub. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Work Experience 6 months of RN experience Required Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations Preferred Emergency nursing, critical care, medical/surgical, or ambulatory surgery center experience Preferred Moderate sedation and cardiac monitoring experience Preferred 1 year or more of RN experience Preferred Licenses & Certifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Upon Hire Required Our Commitment to Social Impact and Belonging UW Health is committed to fostering a workplace that creates belonging for everyone and is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) Required
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state(s) where patients are receiving care or may work as eligible per state licensing regulations Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Upon Hire Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves
