Job Summary: Location: Methodist Physicians Clinic - Fremont Urgent Care Address: 1240 E 23rd St Fremont, NE 68025 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10am - 10pm with rotating weekends 12pm - 6pm Registered Nurses (RNs) will monitor, record, and report changes in the conditions of the patients and be involved in every aspect of the patients' health. Precision and accuracy in maintaining detailed reports is important in relaying information to the doctors or to the patients. Will prepare, assist, and instruct patients for examinations and treatment and inform family members on health care education topics.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • No experience required.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.
  • Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) License, valid compact multistate license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures required.
  • Knowledge of medicine including recognizing and diagnosed diseases, deformities, and other illnesses.
  • Skill to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks.
  • Skill to proficiently type information into the computer to capture or detail information quickly.
  • Ability to provide caring patient care services when talking with patients and their family members.
  • Ability to critically listen to questions from patients and information from providers to convey information effectively.
  • Ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve problems before they occur and avoid bigger problems in the future.
  • Ability to problem solve during several daily activities which includes the ability to be flexible.
  • Ability to learn and proficiently navigate through computer programs that contain patient information.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for positive interaction with providers, staff and patients required.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions/directions required.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the point of contact for all clinical staff when management is unavailable.
  • Work closely with the management to develop clinic and staff performance goals and objectives.
  • Urgent Care Only: Creates monthly staffing schedule in accordance with departmental labor requirements and sends to management for approval and implementation.
  • Urgent Care Only: Reviews and completes department timekeeping in Qgenda accurately on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for assisting with interviewing, selection, and onboarding process of new clinical staff.
  • Assist management when completing performance evaluations and/or corrective action for clinical staff.
  • Urgent Care Only: Performs quality assurance checks for compliance, accuracy, productivity, and customer service skills.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clinical staff questions, comments, concerns.
  • Continuously review clinic day-to-day operations and work with the management to propose and implement new processes/procedures to improve clinic efficiencies.
  • Urgent Care Only: Assists and supports management in the development, implementation and maintenance of procedures, processes.
  • Perform the same day-to-day tasks and essential job functions of an MPC or Urgent Care RN.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
