The Internal Progressive Unit (IPU) is where your nursing career can truly thrive! As a 28-bed Medical/Surgical Progressive Care Unit—often called a Step-Down Unit—we provide care for an incredible variety of conditions, including pulmonary, cardiac, renal, hematologic/oncologic, gastrointestinal, and so much more. Our team collaborates closely with the ICU's and Rapid Response team, giving you the chance to learn from the best and grow in a fast-paced, supportive setting. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Atrium Health Cabarrus is a 457-bed tertiary care facility serving Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, and surrounding counties. As a designated Level III Trauma Center, we provide comprehensive emergency services and a wide range of specialty medical care. We are proud to hold disease-specific certifications in Stroke, Epilepsy, Spine, Bariatrics, and Chest Pain Center care. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in an appropriate state.
  • Minium one year nursing experience preferred.
