Requirements
- Active RN license
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- BLS required
- Strong patient education and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous oncology or radiation therapy experience preferred
- OCN certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients receiving radiation therapy
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment tolerance
- Manage symptoms and treatment -related side effects
- Administer medications and supportive therapies as ordered
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care
- Coordinate care with radiation oncologists and clinical team
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition
- Document patient care and treatment responses in the EMR
